The 1998 Commonwealth Games were held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from 11 to late September 1998. 'Unity towards Progress' was the theme of the opening ceremony. 69 national teams were represented at the 1998 Commonwealth Games including Australia, England, Scotland, New Zealand and Wales.
